The Fall of Arnor cannot be attributed to The Witch-King of Angmar alone, as many mistakenly think. Instead several events lead up to the decline and downfall of Arnor. In this first episode of the Fall of Arnor I cover the civil war that followed after the death of king Eärendur. His son Amlaith was the hir to the throne, but his jealous brothers wanted to rule over Arnor themselves, and thus the kingdoms of Arthedain, Cardolan and Rhudaur was created. In this video I also talk about the Palantiri of Middle-Earth and how the Faithful of Numenor brought them to both Arnor and Gondor.
The Civil War of Arnor devastated the kingdom and weakened the Dúnedain immensely. If the sons of Eärendur hadn't fought each other the fate of Arnor and the entire history would likely have been much different, and perhaps the Witch-king of Angmar wouldn't have been powerful enough to destroy the Kingdom of Arnor.
After the destruction of Arnor it would remain so until Aragorn II became king Elessar of Gondor and created the Reunited Kingdom. Here the council of Gondor would be restored and there would be counsellors in the North-kingdom as well. The city of Annúminas was rebuilt along with other settlements in the region of Eriador.
In the next episode I cover how The Witch-king created Angmar, how the hillmen of Rhudaur joined his side and how The Watch-tower of Amon Sûl was destroyed by the forces of the Witch-king.
