For those with kids and pets, safety might be a top priority for selecting window blinds and shades. Window treatment cords can be a safety hazard and must always be kept out of reach of young children.
At Blinds.com, we recommend cordless products which include cordless or motorized honeycomb, roller or solar shades, shutters and wand-controlled vertical blinds or draperies.
If you have older window treatments that you are not replacing, secure the cords out of reach with a cord cleat. For loop-controlled shades, make sure that the tension device is secured to the wall.
