VO The China-Asean International Touring Assembly and China-Asean Media Rally 2015 arrive in Vientiane
INTRO: The China-Asean International Touring Assembly and China-Asean Media Rally 2015 arrived in Vientiane on Wednesday the 9th of September after the 20 vehicles taking part left Nanning, China, on Monday.
STORY: The convoy had driven 1,200km on a route that took them through Vietnam.
The rally has been co-organised by the Administration of Sport of Guangxi and the CAEXPO Secretariat and is taking place from September 7-29.
More than 100 people from government and private organisations and the media are taking part in the round-trip rally, which covers more than 10,000km from China through seven Asean countries.
The aim of the rally is to promote cooperation and exchanges between China and Asean in sports, culture, tourism, economy, trade and the media. This is the ninth such event.
After leaving Laos, the group will head for Thailand where they will spend five days visiting various tourist attractions and Bangkok. This leg of the rally will cover about 2,000km before the convoy passes through Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.
From Singapore the rally will retrace its steps through Malaysia and Thailand to Cambodia, then pass through Champassak province in Laos, Hanoi in Vietnam, and finally return to Nanning.
This is the ninth China-Asean Rally, which is co-supported by the General Administration of Sport of China and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
