In this video I will be re leveling the frets on my ibanez rg570 ibanez guitar. I will be using a notched strait edge to level the fretboard before i re-level the frets. Then I mark the frets with a sharpie marker so that when I sand the frets with a fret leveling file I can tell where I have been. I remark the frets then use a crowning file to round over the frets to add a crown to the frets so they are recrowned from the flat sanding marks. Then I use 400-1200 grit sandpaper to smooth out sanding marks then I use 0000 steel wool to polish the frets. Last step I use is using my buffing wheel to polish the frets to a mirror finish. If you have any questions about this process let me know. I will also be talking about some of the updates in the shop and some of the history of muscle shoals and my area. Hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching!!
