Spanish tenor Placido Domingo (1941-) sings Non piangere Liu from Turandot.

The most famous recordings of Domingo as Calaf were made in the 1980s, when the demands of the music put his extreme top under considerable strain. However, several live recordings exist from the 1970s, and they showcase a voice with its youthful bloom still fully present. This recording from 1972 is a perfect example of what I mean, a time when Domingo's top had far greater ease and freedom.
