I CANNOT believe people like bleu cheese ice cream. What the heck.
Ice Cream Base Recipe:
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
2/3 cup sugar
1/8 tsp fine sea salt
6 large egg yolks
1. Simmer heavy cream, milk, sugar, and salt until completely dissolved (5 mins).
2. Remove pot from heat and in separate bowl whisk egg yolks.
3. While whisking, slowly pour in about half of the hot cream mixture.
4. Return pot over medium-low heat and cook until mixture is thick enough to coat the back of a wooden spoon.
5. Strain through a fine strainer and cool. Then place in ice cream maker (along with desired additions) and enjoy!
