There have been a numerous fatalities and mishaps on SA's roads since the beginning of the festive season.
Now, as we enter the height of celebrations, more reports of risky driving and fatalities have emerged.
The Daily Dispatch on Tuesday reported that an Intercape bus driver was suspended after a video of him driving recklessly went viral on social media at the weekend.
The bus was travelling from Cape Town to Durban with the driver reportedly admitting he was wrong.
Intercape said he was suspended pending a disciplinary hearing.
Passenger Kiewiet Pretorius said the driver had overtaken a few other cars in a similar fashion.
In the 13-second video, the bus is seen passing two trucks around a bend on solid double white lines. The video received thousands of views and shares.
The driver had been working for the bus service since August 2016.
