Sakela Udhauli is a vibrant traditional festival celebrated by the Kirat community of Nepal, marking the end of the harvest season and giving thanks to Mother Nature. It falls on the full moon day of Mangshir (November/December) in the Nepali calendar and is deeply rooted in nature worship.
The festival features unique rituals, singing, and traditional circle dances, bringing the Kirat community together in harmony. A grand celebration is held annually at Tudikhel, Kathmandu, where people gather to honor their rich cultural heritage through music, dance, and feasting.
