Here's an original version Hornby Schools class with all the above 'so called bad features' proving how sweet and powerful it can be.
Ok. So there are a few not so obvious tricks to getting Hornby ringfields, especially tender drives, to run like new. (And in a future video I will show how) But I am old enough to remember ringfield powered Hornby models when new, and nothing sounded or ran smoother at the time.
