(9 Jun 2017) UK Prime Minister Theresa May's failed bid to increase her parliamentary majority was a vote against a 'hard-Brexit', leading Remain campaigner Gina Miller said on Friday.
Speaking to The Associated Press in Westminster, Miller said the result was a "mandate for a much softer Brexit and for not leaving the single market".
Tim Bale, Professor of Politics at London's Queen Mary University, said it would be very difficult now for the UK to conduct Brexit negotiations with the European Union.
He also said "we can't be absolutely sure that Theresa May will be the person conducting those" negotiations.
