An old eastern Native American Mississippian mound that dates back as early as 1000 AD. Where many eastern Mississippians indigenous tribes had lived, such as Choctaw, Chickasaw, and Creeks lived at one time. Moundville was once a thriving city that held to a population of nearly over 10,000.
