Dr. Charles Harris, Director of the Research and Technology Directorate at the NASA Langley Research Center gave an overview to NASA Tweetup participants on 11/8/2011 on efforts in aerosciences, airborne systems, materials, and structures in support of space operations, exploration, and aeronautics at the center. Dr. Harris is an expert in structural integratiy and has published 150+ papers on durability of metalic and composite materals in aerospace and earned his BS in Aerospace Engineeing, as well as an MS and PhD in Engineering Mechanics from Virginia Tech.
