(There are others such as AroFlo and SimPro which we have found to be too technical for most small businesses.)

Tradify: Tradify is a job management software designed for trade businesses. It's easy to use and offers a range of features such as job tracking, scheduling, quoting, invoicing, and timesheets. It also provides real-time job status updates and integrates with popular accounting software like Xero and MYOB.

ServiceM8: ServiceM8 is a field service management app for small businesses. It helps manage jobs from a client’s first call through to job completion, invoicing, and payment. ServiceM8 offers features such as real-time job tracking, scheduling, quoting, invoicing, and payment processing. It also integrates with various platforms including QuickBooks, Xero, and MYOB.

MY TAKEWAYS

Tradify:
Pros: Tradify is easy to use and offers a comprehensive set of features. It provides real-time job updates and integrates with popular accounting software. It's also known for its excellent customer support.
Cons: Some users have noted that while Tradify is great for small to medium-sized businesses, it may lack some advanced features needed by larger organisations. It is also slightly more expensive per user than Service M8.

ServiceM8:
Pros: ServiceM8 offers a wide range of features and integrates well with various platforms. It also supports a variety of third-party add-ons for extended functionality. It offers a free version for businesses with less than 15 jobs a month.

Cons: Some users have reported that ServiceM8 can be slightly more challenging to navigate compared to other systems. It also has limited scheduling options which can cause frustration with larger teams 10+.

Both Tradify and ServiceM8 are solid options for small businesses. They both offer a wide range of features and integrate with popular accounting software. When choosing between them, consider your specific needs, budget, and the size and complexity of your operations.
