Robert F Kennedy Jr has suspended his unlikely independent presidential campaign, throwing his weight behind Donald Trump.

Kennedy, addressing supporters at a small event in Phoenix, Arizona, on Friday, declared his endorsement for the Republican candidate amid rumours he could be offered a role in a second Trump administration.
He emphasised that he is suspending — not terminating — his campaign and his name will remain on the ballot in some states in November — but not in swing states where he could be a “spoiler” for Trump.
“In an honest system, I believe I would have won the election,” he said.
