The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) in Saudi Arabia confirmed that a worker whose sickness is proven, is entitled for a paid sick leave, as per the provisions of Article 117 of the Saudi Labor Law.
The Ministry further explained that, the employer does not have the right to refuse to grant the worker sick break, however, employer has a right to request medical reports from the authorized health centers.
