Woohoo! I complete the stabilizer and elevators and wrap them up for what is bound to be the final time until they're attached to the fuselage!
We start by reinforcing some of the previously fabricated parts. From there, light sanding and mixing of filler proceeds. Using epoxy-flox (microballons), body filler (bondo), and filling primer, I add copious amounts of "stuff" to the tips, then sand nearly all of it off in search of the perfect shape.
It worked; in the end the tips were fair, smooth, and fit well. I'm very happy with the results. Let me know what you think!

I'm Ryan, an aviation enthusiast who has decided to build his own aircraft and publish the entire thing online for others to watch along. The airplane is a two-person experimental kit built aluminum plane capable of over 200 miles per hour, and a range of nearly 700 miles. The kit is manufactured by Van's Aircraft, one of the most prolific kit providers on the planet. The airplane is aerobatic, functional, and fun. The build is challenging, time consuming, fun and rewarding.
