Between Darley and Birstwith are a toll bridge and this little old bridge. Just downriver of it is a nice spot to sit on a rock and have a lunchtime snack and swallow of water while listening to birds and the river.
By the looks of things, there used to be stations at Birstwith, Ross Bridge and Darley, too, but they're all gone along with the railway. Someone in government decided rural people weren't worth the cost of providing public transport.
