With summer coming to an end, it is now only a few short months away before the festive season kicks in again in London.
One event that is making a return to our City is the neon winter wonderland festival, Lightophia, which will come back to Crystal Palace Park for its second year.
Crystal Palace Park will be adorned in light again from mid-November, as it plays host to the magical illuminated winter wonderland, and it’s 'bigger and brighter' than ever this time.
Lightopia’s ‘Magic of Christmas’ will include displays including; ‘The Wonders of the Dragon’, ‘The Magical Forest’, ‘Land of Fairy Literature’, ‘Earth Flower’ and ‘Forest Mushroom’ and ‘Haunted Road.’
The main showstopper of the event, and a first for Lightopia London, is the illuminated water show. The 40-metre-wide and 15-metre-tall water show over the lower lake is labelled 'a spectacular visual feast.'
Bursting 'with intense colour and festive spirit', this incredible lantern and light show will once again create magical memories and will 'be a must-see for all the family this festive season.'
Ian Xiang, Director of Lightopia, said: "We are excited to come back with a brand-new light and lantern festival to London this Christmas. We use traditional lantern craftsmanship combined with modern technology to make Crystal Palace Park a new Christmas destination in London.
"Families and friends can come to enjoy the experience at night and create memorable moments together. At Lightopia, our goal is always to bring joyful moments for all families and across generations."
