This is part of a lecture series delivered by Professor Martin Holbraad in the autumn of 2020 to undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Department of Anthropology at UCL, in London. Each lecture consists of a series of clips that explain a central concept of anthropological theory (e.g. society, culture, structure, agency, reflexivity, decolonization). The lectures are presented in a broadly chronological order, but do not attempt to provide a history of anthropological theory. Rather, the aim is to present in a simple, easy to understand way some of the most central concepts of anthropological theory, giving students the basic tools they will need in their study of anthropology.
