Lunesta (Eszopiclone) is used to treat sleep disorders.

Unlike many other sleeping pills, Lunesta tablets are approved for the long-term treatment of chronic insomnia caused by chronic anxiety, depression, alcohol or drug dependence or withdrawal syndrome, taking medications, or age-related changes in sleep.

The drug acts as a sedative and depressant to the central nervous system. Eszopiclone has no effect on elevated serum enzymes or clinically evident liver damage.

Ambien for the following sleep disorders: difficulty falling asleep, early and nocturnal awakenings.
