Mr Enninful has edited British Vogue since December 2017. The fashion journalist revealed he’d love “both” leading Royals on the front of his magazine. In an interview with the London Evening Standard, Mr Enninful said: “I am so into the young Royals. “Meghan is an example of how far we’ve come.” The Duchess of Sussex has had a dramatic impact on fashion over the past year, with outfits she selected frequently selling out within hours. This was a gift from her mother, Sarah Ferguson, a friend of Mr Enninful. Clothes worn by Meghan and Kate have sold out repeatedly, sometimes crashing company websites in the process. Demand was such that the range quickly sold out and the designer's website crashed. When announcing her engagement to Prince Harry back in December 2017, Meghan wore a cream coat from Canadian fashion brand Line The Lable. The garment sold out within hours and the company website became unusable due to the sheer amount of people trying to buy the coat. Outfits worn by the Duchess of Cambridge have frequently had the same effect. In 2015, while Pregnant with Princess Charlotte, she was pictured wearing a dress from ASOS’s maternity range. By the end of the same day the £30 outfit had sold out in all sizes. The Duchess has also worn dresses from L.K.Bennett and Tory Burch which sold out soon after.
