Mullaperiyar Dam is once again hitting the headlines, after the water levels rose high and water-leaks were found. The news about the leakage holes has, in fact, made people really tensed again because no one has illustrated how or what way it would affect their lives. No one can imagine how disastrous it would be if the Mullaperiyar Dam fails. Approximately 40 lakh people living in six districts of Kerala - Idukki, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Ernakulam and Thrissur; will be washed off if this disaster happens.
