For those of you who might be wrestling with power line noise, these things actually work. They can help you out until your power company fixes the source of the problem. It is usually loose hardware on a pole, and your power company is obligated to correct the problem. So, in the interim, a phase-reversal box can help. They usually do a better job than a noise-blanker, and they don’t introduce distortion or degrade selectivity.
Caution! If you purchase a QRM Eliminator, you must not run more than 100W through it. I run a maximum of 100W, for 60m, and for the rest of the bands I am usually running 14 to 18W, to drive my amplifier.
