I just saw that i haven't uploaded any Australia 1972 concert by far (and this is one of my personal favourite Led Zeppelin tours). So, it's time to do something about, although this is not the reason to fall in love with this tour: the Kooyong Tennis Stadium show at Melbourne, Australia, uses two sources to make it the most complete possible (several cuts throghout, and at least one song is missing of the recording, WIAWSNB), both in pretty good sounds quality. However, this doesn't help the performance: despite not being a BAD concert, this is for me the weakest show of the tour. The set was pretty rushed due the rain (gotta love Plant's speech at the show's outro). The band (especially Page) sounds mostly strong, but Plant's voice unhappily doesn't: he sounds pretty unstable, constantly cracking and hitting multiple/wrong notes throghout! There's rumours that he was feeling ill during that afternoon, but i can't make it sure! Some songs like Immigrant Song and Stairway To Heaven sounds a tad subdued on this gig due his uncooperative vocal shape!
On a positive side, there are some good moments throghout: Since I've Been Loving You is a killer version today, with Page's playing shining throghout the headphones, plus Plant's delivery sounds fairly good (despite a few cracks/breaks), the acoustic set sounds excellent and Dazed And Confused has a amazing intrumental section! Despite i not being the biggest fan of this show, let's see what you think about it! Enjoy this gig!
Note - this show features a epic fail: Page misses his cue during Black Dog, leaving Bonzo playing it alone! Poor of you Bonzo!
