Guests were arriving on Friday evening for a royal gala dinner at the grand ducal palace in Luxembourg, in honour of newly weds Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg and Belgian Countess Stephanie de Lannoy.
The pair were married at a civil ceremony at Luxembourg City Hall earlier in the day, attended by Guillaume's parents, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchesse Maria Teresa, as well as his siblings and members of Stephanie de Lannoy's family.
The wedding is a two-day affair, including fireworks, concerts, and a further wedding ceremony between the betrothed, a religious ceremony on Saturday morning.
A glittering array of European royalty has been invited to the festivities.
The guest list for the religious ceremony includes kings, queens, princes and princesses from European countries including, among others, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Lichtenstein, Denmark, the Netherlands, Romania, and Britain, which is sending Prince Edward, Queen Elizabeth's youngest child, and his wife, Sophie.
