WWII "Aviator" Playing Cards, June. 26, 1944. Deck of 52 playing cards, white with a blue back comprised of a series of circle and diamond shapes. Deck contains one joker with a shield and wreath design, a card on which is printed, "EXTRA / JOKER" and a card that is plain on one side and has blue writing on the other that says, "Buy / WAR / SAVINGS / BONDS / AND / STAMPS / Now." Cards are contained inside a red cardboard box with white writing that includes, "GIFT OF THE AMERICAN RED CROSS / NOT TO BE SOLD."
