NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg today met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in Brussels to discuss tensions in northern Kosovo. Mr. Stoltenberg described recent violence against KFOR peacekeepers as unacceptable, stressing that KFOR has deployed 500 additional troops in Kosovo and stands ready to act if necessary, in line with the mandate of the United Nations. He stressed that all parties should prevent any further escalation and participate constructively in the EU-facilitated dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
