The Leader of the Opposition says it is a nonsense for the Chief Minister to hide behind the fact that the UK is constitutionally responsible for Gibraltar's external relations in his defence of the tax treaty.
Keith Azopardi says Gibraltar has itself signed many international agreements on tax and information exchange, saying the difference with Spain is that she does not recognise Gibraltar.
He told our reporter Jonathan Scott that we should not read much into the fact that Fabian Picardo calls it a tax treaty and says its the first Spain has signed regarding Gibraltar since the Treaty of Utrecht.
