Stephen Otieno Adera (born Jan 28th 1990, In Kibera, Nairobi Kenya), popularly known as STIVO SIMPLE BOY is a Kenyan hip hop musician who uses his music as a tool to advocate for positive change in the community.

Stivo Simple Boy first gained prominence through his song Vijana Tuwache Mihadarati, that went viral on the internet in 2019 after attending The Chipuukezy Show on Ebru TV.
Vijana Tuwache Mihadarati is a Swahili phrase which directly translates to “ Youths stop drugs abuse”. Stivo Simple Boy started his musical career in 2006 as a street performer who used to sing and perform to the passersby and traders who sell goods by the roadside along the streets of Kibera. In 2008, he was discovered by the award winning comedian Geoffrey Oyoo who introduced him to Kibera Creative Arts, where his talent was further nurtured and developed through rehearsals. Kibera Creative Arts is the organization that owns and manages MADE IN KIBERA studio.

In November 2019, Stivo was made the ambassador of LAKE BASIN ORDHODONTICS CENTRE, a dental medical Centre where he endorsed braces, a deal which lasted for 8 months. Recently, he was named ambassador of Odibet for a 1 year engagement. The permanent presidential Music Commission through Made In Kibera Production invited Stivo to be part of the artists to perform in 2021 Jamhuri Day celebration. Jamhuri Day is a national holiday in Kenya, celebrated on 12 December each year. The event was presided over by His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta on 12th December.

One thing worth noticing about Stivo Simple Boy is his online power. He commands intense online engagements on his releases and posts. For instance, he has been crowned the king of memes, this is because thousands of memes have been created due to his personality and the style of music. His song TUHESHIMU NDOA, attained a critical and a commercial success which charted at numbered at 2 on YouTube trending videos for one full week. Since July 2019, Stivo Simple Boy has gained a very strong fan base through his song VIJANA TUACHE MIHADARATI.

Stivo has continued to spark a massive online engagement to his fans who create hundreds of meme in relation to his personality and style of music. Some of his memes have been shared by world’s greatest stars like Snoop Doggy Dog and American comedian Lil Duval. There are memes created for Stivo Simple Boy more than anyone else in Kenya and Eastern Africa. Memes are photos and videos created purposely to make people laugh. They usually go viral within a very short period of time. Stivo Simple Boy's meme-worthy cultural presence does not just make him only popular, but also as one of the most adorable artists in Kenya today.
