It may be obvious, but in order for Canada's Conservative Party to win the next election, they need to appeal to those swing voters in voter-rich provinces like Ontario and Quebec.
But the party is divided on climate change and many polls are showing few of the voters in those regions are willing to switch their vote to the Conservatives, with one big reason being the perception the party is not serious about climate change.
Leader Erin O'Toole said he wants to ensure they have a serious plan on climate change, but the recent slim majority vote by the party's grassroots to reject a climate change declaration could create problems. David Akin explains.
