We bring before you our new series - India's Finest Hotels. In this, we will share with you the best luxury hotels we come across during our travel. Hope this new series would help you in your holiday and travel plans.

This historic luxury hotel, centrally located in Mussoorie, is spread over 11 acres with 50 rooms and overlooks the Himalayas. The then the Princess of Wales (Queen Mary) stayed here in March 1906 and attended a garden party at the Savoy grounds. The place is also called as the 'Beer Garden'.

Kings of Nepal, Haile Selassie, Emperor of Ethiopia, the Crown Prince of Laos, and Nobel Prize winner Pearl S. Buck, the famous traveller Lowell Thomas, our first prime minister Jawahar Lal Nehru stayed here with his ailing mother, wife and his infant daughter, Indira (wikipedia).

We have checked-in into a premium room, which features wooden floor, a mini-bar, free Wi-Fi, Led TV, tea and coffee making equipment and amenities, bedroom with cosy king size bed and linen, dressing room with locker facility and a private terrace.

Free breakfast and parking are provided. We have used in-room dining for dinner on day one, which cost around 2,000/- for couple. Next day, we went for buffet dinner, which cost us around 3,400/- for couple inclusive of taxes.

Staff and Management: Very welcoming, friendly, consistently interacted, responsive at every point.
