Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Turkey-backed rebels are just 2 kilometers from the northern Syrian city of al-Bab, and are expected to retake it from ISIL militants despite some resistance. The rebels said they had taken Qabasin, several kilometers northeast of al-Bab. It sets the stage for an assault on ISIL's last urban stronghold in the country's north.
