I was astounded by how much this TR7 made! It wasn't even a particularly good example, it didn't sound like it was firing on all cylinders! This car was owned and entered by the actor Mackenzie Crook...........not the first time a crook has put a car through a classic car auction!
I can (almost) understand the cars of legendary series such as Minder and The Professionals making a fortune but I certainly didn't expect this pretty ropey TR7 to make enough money to fund a small collection of classics! No wonder Toby Jones looks baffled in that photo!
