Florida police arrested Miley Cyrus look-alike Justin Bieber early on Thursday on drag racing and DUI charges. The 19-year-old was reportedly also busted for driving with an expired license and resisting arrest.
After paying a visit to a Miami Beach club, Beiber, who is also a popular singer among teenage girls and their middle-aged moms, hit the streets to drag race with R&B singer Khalil. Speeding down a residential street, the singer hit blistering speeds of up to 60 mph before being arrested by police.
Miami Beach police said the 19-year-old singer admitted during his arrest he had been drinking, smoking dope and popping antidepressants. His blood alcohol level was .04, well above the legal limit of .02 for someone driving under the age of 21.
The singer spent the night in a Miami Beach holding cell and was "crying his eyes out," according to a New York Daily News report.
He posted bail Thursday afternoon and was greeted by throngs of fans as he left the courthouse.
