🇭🇺 Fishermen Soup 🍲 😋 😍 👌
- 1.5 kg fish
- 6-7 liters of water
- 5-6 tablespoons of red pepper
- 3 heads of red onion
- 3 heads of garlic
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 with paprika
The Fisherman Soup is one of my favorite soup.
Cut the fish into slices, add salt and leave to stand min 2 hours.
Fill the cauldron with 6 liters of water, then add the chopped onion, garlic, sliced tomatoes and bell peppers cut into rings. When the water boils, add 6 tablespoons of red pepper and the fish slices. Boil them together for at least 30 minutes.
Filter the soup and add the sicled fish. Boil min 30 min.
Fisherman's soup or halászlé [ˈhɒlaːsleː] is a hot, spicy paprika-based fish soup. A folk item of Hungarian cuisine, it is a bright-red hot dish prepared with generous amounts of hot paprika and carp or mixed river fish. It is native to the Pannonian Plain, particularly the Danube and Tisza river regions. It is also a popular dish among ethnic German Donauschwaben and their descendants, known as Karpfensuppe. In Croatia, it is commonly served in the regions of Slavonia and Baranya, where it is called fiš paprikaš.
