A flight I've wanted to do for a very long time. The only domestic air connection in Wales, connecting the isle of Anglesey with the capital Cardiff. The route operates twice a day operated by Eastern Airways on behalf of FlyBe using British built British Aerospace Jetstream 41 Aircraft.

We arrived at Anglesey Airport, the small civilian section of RAF Valley around an hour before departure. The airport is extremely small as it only handles this flight which itself only carries a maximum of 29 people. The airport itself is a pleasant space to wait for the flight. Soon enough we were led out to the aircraft and boarded, boiled sweets were handed out prior to starting up and taking off from Runway 19. We climbed out heading South East, once In cruise the cabin crew came through the cabin offering complimentary snacks and drinks as well as a hot towel, then finally another boiled sweet before landing. 40 Minutes later we began our approach and landing into a wet and windy Cardiff, touching down and parking on stand bang on time.

Overall, an amazing flight. Considering this is a 45 minute flight that can cost as little as £10, the level of service is absolutely incredible. Despite the small size of the aircraft the cabin is really spacious with great legroom. The single cabin crew member looking after the passengers was very friendly and attentive, being able to deliver a service miles better than anything you'd find on a British Airways short haul flight In just 40 minutes is really impressive. Eastern are definitely doing something right!
