The European Union (EU) has imposed anti-dumping (AD) duties on electrical steel from five countries including South Korea.
The other four countries that the tariffs have been imposed on are China, Japan, Russia and the United States.
South Korean exporters of the steel item, affected by the AD duties, involved Posco imposed with a duty rate of 22.8 percent. The rates for Japanese and Chinese producers were as high as 35.9 percent and 28.7 percent, respectively, while those for U.S. and Russian producers were 22 percent and 21.6 percent.
The current provisional duties will be in effect until a final rate is determined in November.
