Two hikers, Mark and Dave, are trekking through a dense, misty forest on a chilly afternoon...

Suddenly, a low growl echoes through the trees, causing both men to freeze.

They turn slowly and see in the distance, a massive grizzly bear breaking through the underbrush...

Its eyes are locked on them, its mouth hanging open to reveal rows of razor-sharp teeth.

The bear pauses for a second, like it's calculating the distance, then it starts charging with surprising speed...

Dave instantly searches for something to defend himself.

Without missing a beat, Mark drops to the ground, yanks off his heavy hiking boots, and quickly begins to lace up a pair of running shoes from his backpack...

Dave, eyes wide with disbelief, yells, "Mark, what the heck are you doing?"

But Mark remains calm, "Just hold on one second," Mark mutters as he double-knots the laces.

Dave is practically hopping up and down now, "Are you out of your mind? You can't outrun a bear!"

Without looking up, Mark grins as he finishes tying his last shoe, "I don't have to outrun the bear... "
