Over in South Africa, the government has identified growing its ocean economy as a potential key driver of growth and job creation. Through Operation Phakisa, it's already added over $ 1 B to GDP and created over 5,000 jobs. Saldanha Bay in the Western Cape has the country's most developed aquaculture sector.
