San Antonio Rose is one of Bob Wills' most famous songs, and an essential part of any Western Swing repertoire. In this fiddle lesson, I first show a very simple version of the melody, with suggestions for drones and shuffles. I then demonstrate a version close to the Bob Wills original, with ornamentation and double stops. I show the original link to the key change.
Finally I have suggestions for some western swing fiddle licks typical of Johnny Gimble
