Assam finally lifted the unofficial economic blockade on Mizoram. The blockade was lifted on August 7th night after Assam’s Urban Development Minister Ashok Singhal and forest minister Parimal Suklabaidya arrived at Lailapur border area on Saturday evening and spoke with the locals, who were refusing to let the trucks pass through Assam.
