On The Newshour Debate with Navika Kumar, today we discuss the farm laws faceoff, where Congress MP Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to slam Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Government saying, ‘Modi Government’s apathy and arrogance has claimed lives of over 60 farmers.’ Bhartiya Janata Party on the other hand has hit back.
Rahul Gandhi came out and attacked the centre over the farmer protests and how the government is promoting crony-capitalist businesses. Over 1,500 mobile towers have been damaged in Punjab.
‘We have lost lives of 60 farmers’, says Tehseen Poonawalla, a Political Analyst. Suhel Seth, a columnist, adds that we cannot fire off someone else’s shoulder. Tehseen further adds that telecom towers should not be damaged. Suhel Seth further adds, ‘As much as we venerate respect, love and adore our farmers as we should the common man’s right to life, right to work also exist’.
