Looks like a Sou-Easters blowin’ up out of the Nor-West. You gotta watch out for them Sou-Easters. Sea breezes occur when inland areas heat up on sunny afternoons. And, Sea Breeze cocktails occur when you need to cool down from that heat before the sun melts all your ice.
The Sea Breeze is a light refreshing drink and is considered a 1980's classic. I've made a lot of Sea Breeze Cocktails during my career (especially in the 80s) It's so simple. 3 ingredients - vodka, cranberry juice, and grapefruit juice. But where did it come from? Most likely Cranberry giant Ocean Spray came up with it to help ease people back into consuming cranberries after the "Great Cranberry Scare of 1959." ...Yeah that was a thing. But could the origins of this popular refreshing cocktail go back even further? Cheers!

SEA BREEZE

FILL A HIGHBALL GLASS WITH ICE
ADD
2oz (60ml) - VODKA
3oz (90ml) - CRANBERRY JUICE
1.5oz (45ml) - GRAPEFRUIT JUICE, (FRESHLY SQUEEZED)
-GIVE IT A STIR.
-GARNISH WITH A LIME WHEEL OR GRAPEFRUIT SLICE AND A NASTURTIUM FLOWER JUST FOR FUN.

--------------------
FILL A HIGHBALL GLASS WITH ICE
ADD
1oz (30ml) DRY GIN
1oz (30ml) APRICOT BRANDY
.5oz (15ml) LEMON JUICE, FRESHLY SQUEEZED
2 DASHES (APPROX. 1/4-1/2 TSP) GRENADINE
-TOP WITH CLUB SODA AND GENTLY STIR.
-GARNISH WITH A MINT SPRIG.
