Returning to France, specifically for some biggies, Kevin and Alan team up while two other members of the party headed to a different water, and my crew and I worked the two locations.
The water is 6,000 acres.. and possibly only a single fish per 2 acres. Not a water for the faint hearted!
This program has a lot of valuable tips for would-be and experienced french water fishing.
And kevin's easy to understand rig demos stand the test of time.

So let's deal with some outrageous rumours that appeared a couple of years after this film was first released by Kevin.
The story goes, that there was a bad shortgage of big fish for the film; pre-titled Quest for Big Carp.
On the last day with nothing significant in the sacks, word is there were a couple of very rotund Asian lads a way up the bank who had caught a couple of 50's.
After a trade of big bags of KM baits, it is said, that a 50lb+ travelled a short distance on a wet mat in the back of the film crew's rangerover.. was expertly re-hooked, boated out.. and played with all the neccessary drama and "reality" of a real catch.. It was landed after an "epic struggle and fish play".. and weighed in at an amazing 48lbs 12oz. A new French "PB" for Kevin.
Possibly the first time the scales have been set UNDERWEIGHT. The story goes.. Kevin didn't want to show it as a genuine 50.. so when he caught a REAL PB.. he could claim it with accuracy!
So.. that's all the alledged rumors.. the story released at a later date by the rotund Asian anglers. As the director "who was there".. I can neither confirm or deny these allegations. :-)
What I can confirm, if such rumours proved to be true.. was that Alan was extremely reluctant but went along with it.. as a paid job. He got mischievious at the weigh-in though with.. "Do you think it's never been caught before".. bless the rebels. ;-) Alan was always one of my favorites to work with..
