In this 20 minute Qi Gong video, Dr. Florence Lim from TCM Healing Center will focus on exercises which help to strengthen, nourish, and invigorate your internal Qi (energy), particularly the Kidney Qi. In Chinese medicine, the Kidneys govern the aging process and longevity, reproductive function, as well as brain and bone health. We will start off and end with meditative breathing Qi Gong exercises to bring energy and vitality to the Dan Tian (translated as “Elixir Field”), which is located right below the belly and inside the abdomen and which acts as your body’s energy reserve. We will teach some basic Qi Gong warm-up exercises that can be done regularly, followed by Qi Gong exercises to strengthen the bones, prevent osteoporosis (if done consistently on a daily basis), and improve overall energy flow through the Kidney channel.
