Pastor Shirley Bryant Gatson, sixty-one went to heaven May 28, 2014 with her family by her at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Shirley Bryant Gatson entered this world on October 13, 1952 to the union of Thomas Bryant and Ezzie B. Bryant in Shreveport, Louisiana. She confessed Christ at an early age and was under the leadership of some great leaders; such as the Late Bishop John W. White of Whites Temple Church of God In Christ, Rabbi Evelyn Khelama of Crusade for Christ International Ministries, and Bishop Michael Spires of Church Of Atlanta Lighthouse in Atlanta, Georgia.
Shirley Bryant, in the year of 1974, met the love of her life; a young man by the name of Willie D. Gatson. She became Shirley Bryant Gatson on December 25, 1975. They are the parents of five children; Scherica Lockhart, Willie D. Gatson II, Keddrick Gatson, Brandon Gatson and Zshamita Gatson.
Shirley co-founded Resurrection Family Ministries with her husband, Pastor Willie D. Gatson, in the year of 1995. Shirley Bryant Gatson cared about people. She had a heart for at-risk youth in school. She catered toward pro-social friendship and toward reasserting youths to have hope for the future.
Pastor Shirley's family was with her, in her last moments at Northside Hospital on May 28, 2014 in Atlanta Georgia. R&B/ Gospel vocalist Shirley Murdock called and song three songs to Pastor Shirley. Pastor Shirley in her frail body praise God nonstop for about five hours. Her family was amazed to witness such an event; it was unnatural. As she took her last breath, her husband kissed the wedding ring on her left hand. He kissed her forehead and then he kissed her lips. The family lifted their right hand up toward heaven saluted and shouted, "Mighty God, Mighty Power, Mighty Victory, To God be the Glory who has called home another soldier".
