This would have been one of the earliest camcorders to feature completely automatic zoom and focus; most camcorders of the time still had a manual zoom lever and a manual focus ring. Unfortunately the consequence is that there doesn't seem to be a true macro mode, but you wouldn't be using a camcorder this low end for macro shots anyways. The battery I tried using was the larger one of the two; the other one didn't charge at all.
