ABOUT OWEN JOHNSON

A lifelong entrepreneur and early-stage startup investor, Owen Johnson has co-founded five ventures and four mission-driven organizations, and has invested in over 90 startups through Betaspring, a nationally ranked accelerator he founded in 2009. He brings over 20 years of business experience to the startups and founders with whom he works.
He is Founder & Chairman of Revival Brewing Company and currently serves on the board of directors of Location, Inc., a leading source of location-based data and tools for risk analysis.
Owen is a Senior Lecturer for the “Leading Disruptive Innovation” Executive Education program at Rutgers and is a Research Affiliate at MIT Open Learning. He regularly mentors and judges for entrepreneurship competitions and hackathons including the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition and the Rabobank-MIT Food and Agribusiness Innovation Prize.
He holds an S.B. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is an active member of the MIT alumni community.
