Jagdeep Dhankhar has won the election for Vice President. The former West Bengal governor got 528 votes and the opposition's candidate Margaret Alva got 182 votes in the election. Around 15 votes were invalid. Jagdeep Dhankhar defeated Margaret Alva to become the 16th Vice-President of India. The term of present vice president M Venkaiah Naidu ends on August 10. Jagdeep Dhankar is expected to take oath of the office on August 11. Watch the video to know more.
