Plaud.AI has two devices: the Plaud Note, a credit card-sized device, and the Plaud NotePin, a tiny wearable that you can use on a lanyard or a watch-type holder. Both are simple and sleek and have a long battery life.
The magic happens in the accompanying Plaud.AI app, which takes all your recordings - meetings, presentations, your own talk-aloud thoughts - and analyses them and comes up with great summaries and mind-maps using AI.
It can identify and label different speakers too - no confusion over who said what. It will come up with a list of action items, it even picks up things you might otherwise miss - those who speak quickly, or softly, or where English isn't their first language.
I think it's really clever and it has helped make brilliant notes of daily standups and all other kinds of meetings I've tried it with. And it goes for days and days on a single charge.
It's simple, effective, and genuinely does what it claims to do.
There is a subscription plan that transcribes more hours of audio and gives you more template types for your summaries, but the free plan works fine too.

The one downside is you can't pair it with a device to work in your Teams or Zoom calls; it must hear the audio to capture it. The Plaud Note can magnetically attach to the back of your smartphone and pick up other voices on the line through vibration but apart from that, you need to meet in person or have your calls on speaker.
